Symantec Licensing
Overview
The symantec value license programme (SVLP) , a certificate based programme, is the fatest and easiest way to get our corporate end-user licensed, as it requires no legal review or contracts.
End-user purchases either a retail box or a media pack from their reseller. the customer is then issued with a symantec value certificate, authorising them to copy the retail or media pack they have purchased.
Symantec value license programme is designed for companies and organisations with a requirement to purchase a minimum of 10 symantec licenses for internal use only. i.e the licences are not transferable outside the country of purchase.
Entry Rule
The minimum quantity available per item on the order is 10 licenses of any single symantec product ( one license for server products).
Multiple part numbers may not be combined to meet this 10 license minimum.Products may not be mixed and matched to meet the minimum requirement.
Each indivisual product must be purchased at the appropriate band level for that product alone.

Pricing
There are 8 price levels detailed below based  either on the number workstations or servers.

Maintenance
Upgrade is optional for most products. Maintenanae, which is the combination of upgrade insurance and technical support , is available.
In case of Norton Antivirus, maintenance is compulsory and is included with the license, available in either 1yr,2yr or 3 yr terms.
All other products typically have the option to purchase a one yr term of upgrade insurance or maintenance.Upgrade insurance or maintenance should be purchased togather with a full or upgrade license, unless it concerns a renewal of existing cover.
SVLP orders for upgrade insurance or maintenance covering more than 100 licenses will require proof of purchase of the number of licenses and /or previous upgrade insurance or maintenance.
The minimum order quantity for upgrade insurance or maintenance is 10 licenses.
